WHO WE ARE CATHERINE PACHECO, APR, president, has more than 15 years of experience in public relations and marketing communications. In that time, she has managed the public relations function for three South Florida hospitals and has been a member of the media relations staff at the University of Miami. In addition, she has held communications positions at Nova Southeastern University and the University of Georgia. She is a past president of the Miami Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. Shortly after earning her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 1997, she headed up the Society's Miami Chapter Accreditation Committee for three years. She is a graduate of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. For the past several years, she has been an adjunct lecturer at both Florida International University and the University of Miami, teaching public relations.
